AAMS®

René Naranjo serves as Vice President of Tyson Smith Private Wealth Partners, sharing with Tyson Smith the leadership of the practice and the stewardship of its client relationships. He advises families whose lives and holdings cross borders, as well as those whose interests remain close to home.

Born in Miami to a family that came to the United States as Cuban refugees, René understands firsthand how a family's story and its wealth can span more than one country. He was raised to value resilience, opportunity, and the dignity of hard work.

Before wealth management, René spent years as the lead vocalist of a band. The stage taught him to connect with people and to communicate with purpose when it matters most. He brings that gift to his clients, making complex matters simple so families can decide with confidence.

René holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations and the Florida 2-15 license, is licensed in multiple states, and has earned the AAMS®* designation. He has also completed advanced training in international wealth management through Raymond James. A Collaboratively Trained Allied Professional, he is qualified to serve as the financial neutral in collaborative divorce. He advises clients fluently in English and Spanish.

A graduate of Bishop Moore Catholic High School and Rollins College, René earned a master's degree in mass communication from the University of Central Florida. He shares his life with his wife, Melissa, and their golden retriever, Lord Maxwell McDroolington, known simply as Max.

Approach

Wealth is only as useful as the decisions it makes possible, and no family can decide well what it does not fully understand. My work begins there.

I listen first, long enough to hear what matters beneath the numbers. Then I make the complex simple, so every recommendation is understood before it is acted upon.

The Conversation Comes First

Before any strategy, there is a conversation about the family, its values, and what it hopes its wealth will one day make possible. Everything we build rests on what we learn there.

Advice That Endures

Markets change. Goals evolve. Families grow. Sound counsel should hold through every chapter, and remain aligned with what matters most.
